On October 23 we interviewed Tyler Connolly on his thoughts about the 2006 season.  Here's is what he had to say...

Media: "What do you think your record will be at the end of the season?"

Connolly: "To tell you the truth, I'll be happy with another 6-6 record.  I mean, look at the teams so far this year, they're mad good.  And it also depends on how much Mike [Nicholas] decides to show up for our games.  You know him, he decies to show up and kick some ass one day, and the next he's terrible."

Media: "Who's the best team in the league this season?"

Connolly: "I'd have to give that one to the Aces.  They will start off very slow, but if Nick [Alberino] sticks with his player, they will be a tough team to hold off.  They have size, and strength.  I think that they will get killed the first game of the season, but they will come up with some different strategies, and hey, we'll see."

Media: "Who's the BFP this season?"

Connolly: "Give it to Houghtaling right now."

Media: "Should Vogel leave?"

Connolly: "No, that's like Barry Sanders leavin' the NFL.  There's no reason to, and he means a lot to the league.  Why not stay?"

Media: "Will Depuccio keep the Vogel era running strong?"

Connolly: "No. I don't think so.  Bob [Vogel] doesn't really want to play anymore, and that means a lot on how well you perform.  I also think Vogel will try to take over a little too much, and the situation won't work out too well.  And you can't forget that [Nick] Depuccio might realease Bob [Vogel], and pick up Adam Barna, depending on if Joe Houghtaling picks him up or not."

Marcel Nadeau was interviewed on Octber 23 to see what his thoughts are on being a captain and some of the things that he predicts for the upcoming season.  Here's what he had to say...

Media: "What do you think about being a captain?"

Nadeau: "I haven't experienced a game yet as a captain, but other than tht it's been the same except for the draft."

Media: "How do you think Mike Melville is going to come through for you this year?"

Nadeau: "I think he will [come through] big-time but, since I'm on his team, we will finish second."

Media: "What team do you have finishing first?"

Nadeau: "The Truth, nothing against the draft pick but I think Tyler [Connolly] will be the reason for the division title."

Media: "What's your gameplan for your game against the Truth on opening day."

Nadeau: "Force Mikel [Nicholas] to make plays."

Media: "Who is the rookie that will impact the SFL the most?"

Nadeau: "Jarred Gravelle.  If he plays like he's capable, [the] Thunder will win some games."
